The Challenge
European higher education remains attractive yet distant for many Indonesian students. While general awareness exists, study decisions are rarely shaped by institutional messaging alone. Prospective students rely more on trusted peer experiences, credible information and guidance from educational networks. EHEF 2025 therefore required a strategy grounded in community insights, combining above and below the line engagement, digital activation and collaboration with educational institutions, youth communities and media.
Our Approach
- Repositioned campaign authority to members of Youth Sounding Board: Sahabat Uni Eropa and EU alumni, elevating peer credibility alongside institutional voices
- Built a three tier stakeholder structures connecting the EU Delegation and Member State embassies, universities and education advisers and youth communities
- Integrated owned, earned, paid and shared (PESO) media within a sequenced narrative framework
- Use the power of out-door media and ads at public spots
- Ensured full compliance with EU and Indonesian communication standards and diplomatic protocols
The Result
- Community driven mobilisation brought 9,641 unique visitors across two cities with strong engagement reported by participating universities
- Digital outreach extended the fair’s impact through more than 23 information sessions including Instagram Live discussions, webinars and on site presentations
- Strategic media engagement generated more than 70 national media placements strengthening EHEF’s national visibility
- Positive recognition from the EU Delegation affirmed effective stakeholder coordination and diplomatic level programme delivery
