Jakarta, 29 January 2026 — ID COMM has been named Best Public Relations 2026 in Empowering Brands with Deep Consumer Insights for Purposeful Communication at the Indonesia Public Relations Awards (IPRA) 2026 in the PR Agency category, selected from a field of 216 nominees. The award recognises the agency’s success in delivering strategic communications grounded in research and a deep understanding of consumer behaviour.
Recognised for a differentiated, research-led approach
The win positions ID COMM as a public relations consultancy with programmes judged to be more specific and more clearly differentiated than those of its peers — most notably its first electric vehicle (EV) research study, published as “Toward the Electric Vehicle Era: How Ready Is Indonesia?”
For the study, ID COMM applied a data-driven methodology that combined interviews with consumers, industry players and media with an analysis of EV policy across the full value chain, from upstream to downstream. That comprehensive approach produced detailed insight into how electric vehicle adoption is unfolding in Indonesia.
What the EV research found
One of the study’s central findings is that EV users in Indonesia today are still dominated by early adopters in the upper-middle-class urban segment. The research also underlines how closely government policy, industry strategy and public education need to be aligned if the electric vehicle market is to expand at greater speed.
A foundation for insight-based communication
The IPRA Awards 2026 jury assessed ID COMM’s research as a foundation for insight-based communication — relevant not only to clients, but also to the wider public seeking to understand consumer behaviour, market barriers and the strategic factors shaping Indonesia’s electric vehicle ecosystem. The initiative was judged capable of encouraging constructive dialogue between industry, regulators, civil society organisations, media and the public.
“For us, this research is not simply a report. It is a tool for building communication that is more relevant and more impactful for the EV ecosystem. With a strong grasp of both the consumer and the policy context, we work to help brands deliver messages that are more useful and more meaningful,” said Asti Putri, Co-Founder and Director of ID COMM. “We appreciate Warta Ekonomi and the panel of judges for recognising our effort to make data available to a broader public. This research is also a tangible form of accountability on our part as a communications consultancy.”
Industry uptake and what comes next
The study has been well received across the industry as a reference point. “Our research is currently being translated into English and Mandarin. We are proud to be able to support the industry in shaping its business strategy,” Asti added.
With this recognition, ID COMM further establishes its position as a data-driven public relations consultancy — one able to translate consumer insight into communication strategies that are strategic, relevant and impactful, in step with industry dynamics and the needs of the wider public.
